Strange Ones

Locked in a cell,
Feeling unwell,
I talked to a man,
He said, "It's better to tell."
"Who sold you the blow?"
Well it was no-one I know.
"If only you'd tell us, we'd let you go."
"We'll make it hard for you my son, so tell us what you know."
"We'll make you wish you stayed home tonight."

Well tonight, I am going out, 'cos I'm alright. The Supergroove, (ah..sorry) - Supergrass have finally hit town. I passed by the Akropolis on the way to this internet joint and the swanky tour bus was parked outside and all around it looked as though preparations were well underway to make non-stop rocking possible. Should be pretty good.

And now for some bullshit:
(Written as a means of procrastination because I actually have some genuine work to do now on this feckin' computer..not essay or thesis writing sure, but still work none-the-less. Scary but true, I feel like I'm at Uni again...I don't know how all you fatties do it, I really don't...)

Had another late night last night.
Lots of fun though as per norm. Watched England beat Turkey 2-0 in some soccer match, (that Beckham really is a big fag-poodle..) Then we watched the Czech lads slaughter the Austrians 4-zip. (Nice to see the locals in a cheery mood for a change..) Then it dawned on me that for the first time in my life, I am missing the Super 12. Bah. Not much call for rugger in a land of football and ice-hockey, sadly.

We then proceeded to inspect a few of the regular clubs in Old Town. It was a good night out all-round and it was nice to visit some places I went when I first came here. Though it did also remind me how long I've been here now and how many people I've seen come and go.........(...drifts off into reflective state....................)

One of the guys I'm going to the gig tonight with, Dave from Oz, was saying last night that he has seen (amongst many others): Rage, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Foo's Chilis, Iggy and the Stooges, Roses and Bowie!! The guy is a hard core music fan. He really does put me to shame. To think I let something as trivial and mind-numbingly boring and soul-destroying as working for ARMOURGUARD get in the way of me going to see all my favourite bands whenever I wanted. Where were my priorities??? Fuckin' dick.
Also, mads props to Russ, (an English teacher of English), who turned out to be a fantastic guinea-pig last night in the interests of human-chemical relations. Nuff said. Get it on right on the night.

Roll on the Grass...
